Biography
Alex Lugo is a second-generation, award-winning actor and filmmaker based in Atlanta, GA, and the founder of Vitruvian Films. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami in a family of artists, he is the son of renowned Latin American film and television actor Daniel Lugo. Alex honed his craft at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City and is an alumnus of the American Theatre Wing's SpringboardNYC program. As a filmmaker, he has produced several note-worthy projects, most recently "Project Penelope," a sci-fi drama short film which he co-directed and starred in, earning him the Best Actor award at the 2024 North Hollywood CineFest and Best Director at the 2025 Georgia Shorts Film Festival.
